Stretch Yoga Teacher Training Brisbane
Module 19: Inversions
Objectives: To teach students safety in inversions
In Adho Mukha Svanasana student teachers will learn how to align the arms – hands, wrists, elbows, inner and outer arms, shoulders and shoulder blades.
To build strength and flexibility for many of the inversions
In Sirsanana student teachers will learn the alignment and actions required to balance the back and front body to reinforce the vertical elongation through the central axis of the body
In Salamba Sarvangasana student teachers will learn how to use the arms to spread and open the chest to encourage the thoracic spine to move in, and elongate through the feet
Benefits, key actions and contraindications for each pose. Practice each pose with teachers cues individually, then with each other and learn how to align with directions through observation, practice and hands on experience.
