Have you been meaning to try yoga, but something keeps holding you back?
Maybe it’s been a while since you’ve moved regularly.
Maybe you’re returning after injury, managing a few niggles, or simply feeling less confident than you once did.

Walking into a studio can feel intimidating. This 75-minute introductory workshop is designed to remove the fear factor and help you feel safe, comfortable and supported from the moment you arrive.

What to expect:
Your instructor, Mandy, will start with a friendly introduction to what yoga is and what it isn’t. You don’t need to be flexible, fit or experienced. This is about building confidence, not pushing limits. From there, you’ll practice simple breathing to settle the nervous system, followed by a slow, accessible sequence. You’ll learn how to use chairs, blocks, bolsters and the wall so you can confidently adapt movements to suit your body. Everything is optional and adaptable, with clear choices for knees, hips, backs, shoulders and balance. You'll close with supported rest, leaving you feeling steady and more at home in your body.

This workshop is ideal if you’re new, returning, or simply ready for a softer place to begin.

About your instructor:

Mandy’s motto for life has always been “I’d rather regret doing it than regret not doing it at all” and it was this, that led Mandy to complete her 350 Yoga Teacher training through the Stretch Academy. Years later, yoga and yoga teaching is an enormous part of Mandy’s life. Mandy’s passion for teaching yoga is aligned with her desire to help others who may feel yoga is out of their realm of possibility.​

Props in yoga practice such as blocks and a strap are a focus in Mandy’s classes and the belief system that any pose can be adjusted to suit you! With a warm and positive “can do” attitude, Mandy loves to offer many alternatives in classes to enable every body type to do yoga. Mandy’s aim is to build a happy, confident atmosphere where all students regardless of experience, shape or size can thrive.

As we are eagerly awaiting the date of our workshop, here are some commonly asked questions to help you prepare!
How do I find Stretch Yoga Holland Park?

Find us at 50 Seville Rd, Holland Park (just next to Radiance Dance Academy) on the corner of Seville Rd and Roscoe St – look out for the beautiful brick building with parallel parks.

Is parking available?

You can find free parking spots right out front and on the streets around the studio!

What do I need to bring?

Please bring a yoga mat (we have a limited amount available for hire).

What should I wear?

Please wear comfortable clothing you can freely move in.

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

We keep our workshops cozy and intimate to ensure you get the best possible experience! While workshop bookings are non-refundable, we understand that life happens.

Can't make it? Let us know as soon as you can – there might be someone on our waitlist eager to take your spot! Subject to availability, we can help transfer your booking to another workshop date for a small $15 admin fee.
