Stretch Yoga Teacher Training Brisbane
Module 13: Yin & Myofascial Release
Yin Yoga uses restorative, floor-based poses to nourish and stimulate the deeper energetic channels in the body, providing opening of the body and physiological benefits. Yin Yoga also provides the perfect container to develop deeper levels of self-inquiry and to cultivate the capacity for meditative self-awareness.
You will learn a blend of applied anatomy and physiology, as it mainly applies to fascia (connective tissue) and how it impacts and informs movement in the body. Alongside this, you will be introduced to 31 yin poses, foundations of Yin sequencing and creative integration of props and traditional meditative practices to enhance the yin state of a student.
Objectives:
Understanding the elements that differentiate a Yin & Yang Yoga Practice and exploring the vast benefits of Yin Yoga physically, energetically and emotionally.
Students will learn to apply the principles of Yin to create a calm and centered experience to hold space within the practice - exploring the concept of stillness, meditation and longer holds within supported postures. Options for accessibility and understanding how to adapt and modify Yin specific poses with prop usage for a fully inclusive and supportive approach to the practice. Dive into the depth of flexibility and range of motion with a focus on connective tissue, trigger points and targeted Myofascial release to compliment Yin Yoga.
