Maybe you feel like you’ve mastered the yoga basics, or maybe you’re just up for a challenge any time of the day or night. If you want the kind of yoga that helps you build up a sweat, then our Flowing Stretch might just be the ticket.
Our Flowing Stretch is better known in the yoga world as Vinyasa yoga, with Vinyasa meaning ‘to flow with the breath’. You’ll inhale to move one way, exhale to move another, and with all the breaths you’ll be taking in an hour long class your body is going to get a whole lot of action by the end! Vinyasa classes are great for building strength (think toned arms, a strong core and defined legs) and increasing your overall fitness and endurance (no puffing after one flight of stairs).
Why do people love to flow? Because it’s a great way to switch the mind off! Moving with the breath helps to turn your practice into a moving meditation – perfect for those of us that have trouble sitting still but still want that feeling of peace!
Although we call this one intermediate we encourage you to give it a go! Your teacher will give you plenty of options on your way up to the stronger poses, and who knows, you may even surprise yourself with what you can do! We recommend bringing a bottle of water to this one (hydration is important!) and be sure to grab a coconut water or kombucha on your way out.
