Backbends are a vital part of our yoga practice as they assist our posture to stand upright, to counter all the forward actions in our daily life (couch-slouch is all too real!) and to encourage us to explore the emotional space of our hearts!
This workshop aims to build your confidence and demystify the struggles associated with doing backbends safely so you can embrace them in any class! You'll explore a range of backbends and heart-openings to deepen your range and gain a better understanding of how to do these safely for your body!
This workshop is suitable for all levels. You will need your own yoga mat and we recommend two blocks, a strap (sarong/towel) and a bolster if you have them.
