Even at the best of times, anxiety can be exhausting and may spiral without the right tools to tame it. This ritual has been crafted specifically to help you create intentional and peaceful connection between body and mind, calm your nervous system and aid you in being your highest self.
Over two hours, this workshop will offer a safe space for you to explore movement, breath and meditation. While this session isn't a masterclass in the body's response to anxiety and stress, it will incorporate scientifically recognised approaches and techniques. Anxiety is the most common mental health condition in Australia, with one third of women and one in five men expected to experience it at some point in their lifetime according to Black Dog Institute.
We know that people are looking for help - sometimes it's just hard to find something suitable to explore. While this workshop isn't aimed to be a substitute for professional support, it is complimentary by way of teaching students how to listen to their body, and give them some simple, repeatable tools to use in times of heightened anxiety. One of Kayla's broad focuses in teaching is to create a space where students feel nurtured and empowered in their practice and within themselves, both on and off the mat.
