STRETCH YOGA'S PHILOSOPHY

Stretch Yoga isn't about fancy poses and expensive yoga pants.  We smile a lot, and laugh even more. We make lame jokes and love daggy outfits. We don't care where you leave your shoes or if you can touch your toes. We don't smell like incense or have a strict set of rules to abide by. We'll never make claims about how much fat you will burn or how toned you will be. But we promise we will do our very best to make you feel comfortable and welcome you with open arms - because we love yoga, and we want to make sure you love it too!

In a world filled with amazing Instagram yoginis posing in their underwear and airbrushed photos of models doing yoga in glossy magazines it can be easy to forget what yoga is really about. We can feel inadequate if we can't stick our leg behind our head to form a human pretzel (ouch!) but at Stretch we want you to know that the poses really aren't that important!

Yoga is about the way it makes you feel on the inside - happy, healthy, joyous and calm. We want to be your sanctuary, your second home, and the place where you feel totally comfortable learning about and exploring the amazing body that you live in. If you've never practiced yoga before (or maybe only once or twice) we want to be the studio that feels instantly safe and secure to you. Yoga can be super intimidating if you don't know what you're doing, but at Stretch the teachers are your friends - the people who are by your side every step of the way.

We'll be there to nourish and calm you on the days where you feel stressed and tired, and there to encourage and push you on the days where you want to give your all.
