The chakra system can be viewed as a map of our energy body. Over time and through life experiences, our chakras can get blocked or imbalanced; this can have a direct impact on our physical and/or mental health and vice versa.
'Cakra' – comes from the Ancient Indian Tradition meaning 'Wheel of Energy'. Learning about the Chakras will enable you to understand more about your body's health and can help you to restore and enhance your energy flow, bring balance and harmony.
In this workshop, you will be guided on a journey of self-discovery as we explore the 7 Chakras of your body week-by-week. Led by Senior Yoga Teacher Miriam Van Doorn, Miriam will lead you through specific asanas, meditation and breathing techniques aimed at unblocking and balancing each of the chakras.
Week 1: Muladhara (Root Chakra)
Week 2: Svadhisthana (Sacral or Pelvic Chakra)
Week 3: Manipura (Navel Chakra)
Week 4: Anahata (Heart Chakra)
Week 5: Vishuddha (Throat Chakra)
Week 6: Anja (Third-Eye Chakra)
Week 7: Sahasrara (Crown Chakra)
